All About Bedding

Divine Bedding

Egyptian Cotton Bedding

Cotton is a soft vegetable fibre obtained from the seed pod of the cotton plant and one of the major fibres in the textile industry. Egyptian cotton is simply the finest cotton in the world.

Historically grown in Egypt, Egyptian cotton today is also produced in other countries, yet still complies with the original Egyptian standards of quality.
Egyptian cotton bedding is one of the most luxurious and durable bed linens.

What is Thread count?

It is simply a measure of how many lengthwise threads and widthwise threads are woven into one square inch of fabric.
The higher the thread count means that this bedding retains warmth without being heavy. Egyptian cotton is thinner than other cottons, yet stronger, allowing for more threads to be woven per inch creating an integral strength that gives this cotton its longevity. While thread count is a consideration when buying fine linens, even more important is the quality of the cotton.

Bamboo Bedding

Bamboo fabric is a natural textile made from the pulp of the bamboo grass. The versatility of bamboo fabric makes it an excellent choice for bedding. It is a light, strong and very soft fabric.
Bamboo as a textile retains many of the antibacterial properties it has as a plant, and is able to retain this quality through multiple washings.
Many people, who experience allergic reactions to other natural fibers, do not complain of this issue with bamboo.

Goose & Duck Down Duvets and Pillows

Goose or Duck down is the layer of the smallest, lightest feathers found beneath the hardy exterior feathers of the bird. The warmth of down is due to its structure that consists of thousands of separate fibers that interlock and repel each other at the same time. This produces millions of tiny air spaces that act as an insulating layer around you, keeping warm air in and cold air out. Since down breathes, it naturally regulates warmth and wicks away moisture.

The quality of down is judged by its elastic capabilities, which is referred to as "Fill power" or "Loft factor"and is determined by the volume to which an ounce of down returns to after being compressed. The higher the loft factor, the better the insulating ability of the down.  Down is nature's efficient insulator, offering remarkable thermal properties.

When you consider that you spend up to one-third
of your life in bed, you deserve relaxing comforts to enjoy the precious hours you need to rejuvenate!
